Why CrossFit?: In 2012, Chris talked me into a trial workout at our local CrossFit. At this point in my life I was about 35 lbs overweight and missed having time to myself in the gym (which I found difficult with a 1 year old and a full time job). I decided to make a change in my life and joined CrossFit. I quickly began to lose weight and realized that I loved the mix of weightlifting, gymnastics and cardio in my workout.   I never got that kind of workout on my own and needed someone telling me how to do things the right way.  I also loved the community and encouragement.   It was nice to workout with and make friends with others who were also in my very same position who just wanted to be a healthier person.   My passion for nutrition and fitness is something I hope to continue to share with others through CrossFit.
